A lot of hearing impared people don't realize that those of us with normal hearing don't pick up everything either. especially if we are doing something like fixing dinner while trying to watch a ballgame on TV or having the radio on when I first wake up in the morning and have to get up, shower sheve etc. I even knew one deaf person ask me if I kneew a way to "Slow down" the closed captioning because this peerson felt like they wee missing too much. I had to explain that hearing people don't pick up everything either. If it's like breaking news or something it will be repeated and repeated and repeated.
